Graphic Designer (Contract)

Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join a dynamic AI content team focused on creating high-quality templates, presentations, documents, and workbooks across Microsoft 365 applications. This role is ideal for a designer who combines strong visual craft with storytelling, practical production skills, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate brings experience designing professional content for enterprise or small business audiences and can translate creative direction into clean, well-structured files that are visually compelling, technically sound, and aligned to established quality standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of content, design, and artificial intelligence within a fast-paced and inventive team environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and build high-quality templates for PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and Excel workbooks across a wide range of customer scenarios

• Create layouts, visual systems, and reusable design components that are polished, accessible, and easy for customers to customize

• Apply strong design judgment to ensure every template is clear, consistent, and aligned to established creative guidelines

• Format and refine files for consistency, including typography, spacing, alignment, color, imagery, tables, charts, and content hierarchy

• Translate creative briefs and content requirements into practical, customer-ready template designs

• Support template production workflows by creating, editing, and quality-checking files across Microsoft 365 applications

• Collaborate with content, design, and product partners to incorporate feedback and continuously improve template quality

• Maintain strong attention to file structure, usability, accessibility, and cross-platform presentation quality

• Set milestones and adhere to deadlines aligned to product needs, pivoting as priorities shift

• Integrate AI tools into content and design workflows while maintaining a human-in-the-loop approach to quality

• Demonstrate proactive communication and collaboration with core team members and broader vendor partners

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of professional graphic design experience with a focus on presentations, documents, and workbooks

• Demonstrated experience designing professional content in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Communications, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field

• Experience creating customer-facing templates or business content for enterprise or small business audiences

• Portfolio demonstrating strong layout, typography, composition, and visual design skills is required

• Strong graphic design craft including typography, layout, color, composition, hierarchy, and visual balance

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

• Experience with design tools such as Figma and/or Adobe Creative Cloud

• Demonstrated experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or similar platforms

• Deep understanding of template systems including reusable layouts, consistent styling, and scalable design patterns

• Detail-oriented approach to formatting, alignment, spacing, accessibility, and file quality

• Ability to follow creative direction, interpret briefs, and apply feedback efficiently across high-volume work

• Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and consistency

• Familiarity with accessibility best practices for presentations, documents, and spreadsheets

• Experience designing within established brand systems or design guidelines

• Strong production-design discipline including file cleanup, formatting precision, and quality control

Additional Details:

• Location: Remote

• Duration: 4 months

• Pay Range*: $26.50 - $30 per hour

• Weekly Schedule: 40 hours

• Job Status: Non-Exempt
