Job Title: Manager, Operations Quality
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Director of Operations
Position Summary
The Manager Operations Quality will be responsible for management, coordination and the execution of the Operations Quality functions at the facility in Pendergrass, GA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assuring the day-to-day quality in the production related processes at the Production facilities in Pendergrass GA
Active identification of potential production issues and the prevention of those issues with the Corporate/Supplier/Customer Quality Groups
Collection of defect occurrences in production related activities and the cataloguing of these defects in various data based systems for analysis
Development and maintaining relevant KPI’s that track COPQ, FTQ, Internal and External PPM, and Failure Mode Data
Participation in the identification, analysis, tracking, follow up of production related issues with the Corporate/Supplier/Customer Quality Groups in Cross Functional Team meetings
Provide direct support for production related inspection processes and line support calls
Control and storage of non-conforming materials found in production or warehouse and participation in the disposition or transferring of materials to other departments
Proactive support of production execution and control of the production activities and associated processes (Worker instructions, incorrect or defective parts processing, Process Control, etc.)
Preparation, coordination and follow up of external audits coordinated by the Corporate Quality Group
Ownership of tool calibration process and new tool / equipment calibration
Support Corporate Quality with the coordination of Process Defect prevention and risk mitigation using tools like A3, 8D, PFMEA, etc.
Participating in Continuous Improvement, Lessons Learned, and Lean methodologies to facilitate changes by production in a controlled way
Participation in Project team meetings (incl. Level Meetings, CFT, DFM, KAIZEN, CAPEX Projects, etc.)
Global alignment and regular communication with DEUTZ AG counterparts (e.g. operations quality)
Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Qualifications
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Sufficient SAP skills that support the necessary coordination activities in SAP.
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of computer software (e.g. MS office).
Ability to read drawings and process documents.
Ability to use measuring equipment
Travel Requirements
Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 0-10% depending on business needs.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Production/Assembly or equivalent experience.
Practical experience in the field of Quality Control and its tools and methodology.
Minimum 5 years previous Quality Control background, Production/Assembly experience and/or Data analysis, failure solving background.
Preferred Requirements
Basic knowledge in Diesel engines
German language a plus

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
