Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Nurse Consultant to provide expert clinical guidance and support within our healthcare services. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing experience, strong management skills, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations and patient care standards. In this role, you will lead quality improvement initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and support clinical staff in delivering exceptional patient outcomes across diverse healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation on nursing practices, clinical protocols, and regulatory compliance to healthcare facilities and staff.
• Lead quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient safety, care standards, and operational efficiency.
• Review medical documentation, electronic health records (EHR), and medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to legal requirements such as HIPAA.
• Offer training and mentorship to nursing staff on best practices in patient care, medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with state healthcare regulations, long-term care facility standards, and acute care requirements through regular audits and assessments.
• Collaborate with management teams to develop policies that promote regulatory adherence and elevate care quality.
• Analyze data related to patient outcomes and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Support administrative clinical supervision by overseeing nursing staff performance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license with current registration in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
• Extensive experience in hospital settings or long-term care facilities with a focus on patient care delivery.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and electronic health records (EHR/EHR management).
• Proven management experience within healthcare environments, including nursing leadership roles.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, and long-term care regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data effectively using tools such as Microsoft Office suite for reporting and documentation purposes.
• Knowledge of management principles related to healthcare operations and quality improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and liaise with regulatory agencies.
