The Gun Counter Sales Associate provides exceptional customer service while assisting customers with firearm and sporting goods purchases. This position requires strict adherence to all federal, state, and company firearm regulations, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and accuracy.
Greet customers in a timely and professional manner while providing outstanding customer service.
Assist customers in selecting firearms, ammunition, and related sporting goods based on their needs.
Accurately complete all required federal and company firearm transaction documentation, including ATF Form 4473, with 100% accuracy.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company policies governing firearm sales and transfers.
Verify customer identification and eligibility requirements for firearm purchases.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of firearms, ammunition, hunting products, and applicable firearm laws and regulations.
Safely handle, display, and secure firearms in accordance with company procedures.
Assist with stocking, merchandising, inventory control, and maintaining a clean, organized sales area.
Answer customer questions regarding firearm safety, operation, and product features while remaining within company guidelines.
Work collaboratively with management and fellow associates to provide an exceptional shopping experience.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately complete legal documentation.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Knowledge of firearms, hunting equipment, and firearm regulations is required.

High school diploma or GED required.
Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
Must be legally eligible to possess and transfer firearms under applicable federal and state law.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
