Essential Job Functions

What will I do as a Student Professional Worker I?

• Assist in collecting and analyzing statistics, doing research, and making investigations and special studies in a variety of occupational fields.
• Assist in the preparation of reports.
• Assist in the preparation of press and radio releases.
• Assist in the administration of psychological and other tests to patients.
• Assist in the performance of laboratory tests and analysis.
• Assist in the group supervision and training of juvenile wards of the courts.
• Assist in identifying and cataloging birds, mammals, and fossils.
• Assist in processing writs and judgments, filing legal documents, and making entries of legal action.
• Assist in work related to the administration of manpower programs for the disadvantaged.
• Act as guide for student tours of County departments.
• Do related clerical work as required.

Requirements

Requirements to Qualify
Current enrollment in an accredited college or university having academic standing equivalent to sophomore, junior or senior year.

License
A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when need to carry out job-related essential functions.

Physical Class
2 - Light: This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10 pound limit and some bending, stooping, or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.

1. Proof of Academic Standing: To meet the academic level requirement, you must provide documentation of successful completion of at least 30 semester units or 45 quarter units, or standing as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior at an accredited college or university. Acceptable documents include:

• 
  Official or unofficial transcripts, or
• A verification letter from the school administration confirming your academic standing (academic class level).

• A current Class Schedule confirming registration for the current or upcoming semester/quarter, or
• A letter from the School Administration (on official letterhead) confirming enrollment status, or
• A student ID card with photograph indicating current enrollment (must display the current term).

Additional Information
