Position Overview
T Palmer Agency is seeking a talented 3D Trade Show Exhibit Designer to create compelling custom exhibit and booth designs for clients across a variety of industries.
This role is responsible for transforming client objectives into visually impactful, functional, and buildable trade show environments. The ideal candidate has experience designing custom trade show booths, understands exhibit fabrication and production processes, and can produce high-quality renderings and presentation materials that win business and impress clients.
Responsibilities
- Design custom trade show exhibits ranging from 10'x10' booths to large island exhibits and multi-story environments.
- Develop creative concepts, layouts, and attendee engagement strategies that align with client goals and branding.
- Produce realistic 3D renderings, floor plans, elevations, and presentation materials for client review.
- Design exhibit structures, product displays, meeting spaces, demo areas, reception counters, and interactive elements.
- Ensure designs meet show regulations, venue requirements, and practical fabrication considerations.
- Collaborate with account managers, project managers, fabricators, and production partners throughout the design process.
- Revise and refine exhibit concepts based on client feedback and budget requirements.
- Create production-ready design packages and support the transition from concept to fabrication.
- Stay current on exhibit industry trends, materials, technologies, and trade show best practices.
- Support new business proposals and participate in client presentations when needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience designing trade show exhibits, booths, branded environments, or architectural displays.
- Strong portfolio showcasing custom trade show booth and exhibit design work.
- Advanced proficiency in SketchUp, Vectorworks, 3ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D, or similar 3D modeling software.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Understanding of exhibit fabrication methods, structural considerations, materials, and production processes.
- Ability to interpret booth specifications, floor plans, and show service manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working for an exhibit house, trade show agency, event marketing agency, or fabrication company.
- Knowledge of modular exhibit systems and custom fabrication.
- Familiarity with trade show regulations and venue requirements.
- Experience creating technical drawings and construction documentation.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
