What Makes This Position Different?

As a Clinical Instructor, you'll receive support and opportunities to mentor physical therapy students through our academic partnerships while earning additional incentives for student supervision.

This position also provides a pathway toward future clinic director and management opportunities.

ResponsibilitiesClinical Care

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based orthopedic rehabilitation and manual therapy
• Monitor patient progress and outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and self-management
• Complete timely and compliant documentation

Leadership

• Mentor PTs, PTAs, aides, and support staff
• Assist with clinic operations and quality initiatives
• Support staff development and onboarding
• Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, and administration

Clinical Instruction

• Supervise and mentor physical therapy students
• Complete student evaluations and CPI assessments
• Coordinate with academic programs and clinical education faculty
• Foster a positive learning environment focused on excellence in patient care

QualificationsRequired

• Active California Physical Therapist License
• Minimum 2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience
• Strong manual therapy and orthopedic evaluation skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to manage a full caseload efficiently

Preferred

• APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Prior student supervision experience
• Clinic lead or supervisory experience
• OCS, FAAOMPT, MDT, or other advanced certifications
