The Jacobs School of Engineering at UCSD has potential opportunities for temporary, non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18) in our "ENG" Programs. Lecturers with the "ENG" programs may be affiliated with IDEA Center, the von Liebig Center, the Gordon Center, the E4 Maker Space, or other educational programs affiliated with the Jacobs School Dean's Office.

The Jacobs School of Engineering is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body.

Lecturers in the ENG programs will teach courses at the undergraduate or graduate level.

In addition to the currently listed ENG courses, new ENG courses may also be offered and we are looking for individuals to teach these courses, as well. Please check the ENG course list throughout the year for potential additional courses.

Master's degree in Engineering or a related field. (2 years of professional experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.)

Minimum of one quarter or semester teaching one or more courses, either as Instructor of Record or as a Teaching Assistant. Equivalent industry experience such as a minimum presenting one or more seminars, or conducting one or more trainings may be substituted for teaching experience.
