Mortgage Loan Processor Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial evaluations of loan applications, including financial documents and mortgage types.
• Collect and organize all essential client data, such as assets and debts.
• Maintain consistent follow-up with borrowers and all transaction parties using phone, text, and email.
• Verify information and references by contacting appropriate sources via phone and email.
• Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in loan documentation.
• Submit complete loan files for appraisal.
• Serve as the main point of contact between loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers.
• Perform final reviews of files before loan closings.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor.
• In-depth knowledge of loan underwriting and processing procedures.
• Familiarity with mortgage industry regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in mortgage loan software (e.g., Lending Pad).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Non-Delegated or Broker platforms.
