Raptor Scientific, a global Aerospace & Defense test and measurement company, is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support the production of high‑precision components used in our calibration and test systems. This position is responsible for developing, optimizing, and validating CNC programs for multi‑axis machining operations and ensuring high‑quality, efficient machining processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in CNC programming, machining practices, tooling, and CAD/CAM workflows and will contribute to continuous improvement across the machine shop.

The full-time hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and every other Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Full benefits package available after 30 days.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam software.
• Generate NC programs for multi‑axis CNC lathes, mills, mill‑turn, and Swiss‑style machines; operate equipment and support operator training
• Validate CNC programs through simulation and dry runs to ensure safe and accurate machining
• Ensure programs comply with safety, quality, GD&T, and applicable ISO/AS standards
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to create precise tool paths and machining strategies
• Establish machining methods, routes, and sequences; prepare operations planning sheets for prototype and production parts
• Ensure compliance with latest engineering revisions and documentation requirements
• Maintain program files, documentation, version control, and traceability
• Troubleshoot machining issues and provide technical guidance to operators
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters
• Provide hands‑on support and training to machine operators and shop personnel
• Continuously improve machining processes to enhance productivity and reduce cycle times

REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience

· 5+ years of CNC Mastercam programming experience in aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing

· Ability to read mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and bills of material

· Strong proficiency in G‑code, M‑code, and CAD/CAM tools (Mastercam, SolidWorks, or equivalent)

· Knowledge of CNC machine controls, tooling, and material properties (aluminum, steel, titanium, plastics)

· Proficiency with standard measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges

· Strong analytical and mathematical skills for precision machining

· Ability to diagnose and resolve machining challenges in dynamic production environments

· Demonstrated ability to train and mentor operators and team members

OTHER SKILLS:

• 7+ years of CNC Mastercam programming experience in aerospace or defense
• Experience with multi‑axis and dual‑spindle CNC machines
• Experience with pneumatic tubing and pressure systems
• Ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Fluent with MS Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Physical ability to lift or assist with lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand for up to 4 hours a day and/or sit, type and use mouse for up to 6 hours a day.

Pay: $99,840.00 - $124,800.00 per year
