ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the safe operation of at least one specific form of powered material handling equipment.
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the breakroom, front office and all bathrooms.
Responsible for processing Styrofoam, film, and cardboard bailors daily, loading for pickup.
Responsible for the safe and proper storage of furniture and materials within the racking systems.
Responsible for proper handling of materials and merchandise to minimize the potential for damage and injury.
Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and clear work environment, free from trip hazards.
Maintain groundskeeping of the parking lots and designated smoking area.
May perform building maintenance functions.
Must help maintain the upkeep of lifts and tugger equipment.
Must complete and understand all company sponsored safety programs.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Qualifications
Furniture repair or refinishing experience preferred.
Ability to touch up, repair and upholster furniture.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
Must be able to work independently while using discretion
