AMI Polymer Inc. is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help build and grow key accounts in the North American bioprocess, biopharma, pharmaceutical, and life science markets.
AMI Polymer manufactures silicone tubing, tubing assemblies, single-use bags, single-use consumables, gaskets, molded components, and custom polymer solutions for pharmaceutical and bioprocess applications.
This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in technical B2B sales, business development, or key account development, especially with biopharma manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, CDMOs, life science suppliers, distributors, single-use system providers, or end users in regulated manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
Develop new business opportunities with bioprocess, biopharma, pharmaceutical, biotech, CDMO, and life science customers across North America.
Identify, approach, and build relationships with key accounts, including end users, OEMs, distributors, and contract manufacturers.
Promote AMI Polymer products such as silicone tubing, tubing assemblies, single-use bags, single-use consumables, gaskets, molded parts, and custom polymer components.
Understand customer requirements related to materials, drawings, dimensions, assemblies, applications, compliance needs, and supply expectations.
Manage customer discussions from first contact to technical review, RFQs, quotations, samples, and commercial follow-up.
Work closely with AMI Polymer’s internal technical, quality, and manufacturing teams to support customer requirements.
Maintain regular updates on customer pipeline, follow-ups, opportunities, and key account development.
Represent AMI Polymer professionally in customer meetings, trade shows, distributor discussions, and industry networking opportunities.
Ideal Candidate
Strong experience in technical sales, business development, key account management, or distribution sales.
Must have some significant experience working in the bioprocess, biopharma, pharmaceutical, CDMO, life science, single-use systems, tubing, bags, or polymer component space.
Existing relationships with biopharma customers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, CDMOs, life science companies, distributors, or single-use system providers would be a strong advantage.
Comfortable discussing technical product requirements such as tubing specifications, bags, assemblies, materials, drawings, dimensions, application needs, and compliance expectations.
Ability to develop new accounts, manage customer conversations, and follow opportunities from early discussion to quotation and order stage.
Self-driven, professional, and capable of building business with limited supervision.
Strong communication, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
Compensation
This role offers a base salary plus commission structure.
The final compensation package will depend on the candidate’s experience, existing customer network, industry relationships, and expected business development impact.
Commission structure is flexible and will be discussed based on the candidate’s background and ability to develop new business.
For candidates with strong existing relationships in the bioprocess, biopharma, CDMO, or life science market, higher overall earning potential and flexible commercial structures can be considered.
