Role Summary
Provide program management, planning, and executive-level coordination for a federal cloud data management program. This is a lean, hands-on PM role — you'll run agile delivery cadence, own the schedule and risk register, and be the primary management interface to the client's leadership. Ideal for an experienced federal program manager seeking a steady part-time engagement.
What You'll Do
Maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) covering milestones, dependencies, and critical-path activities
Run two-week agile sprints — sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives — using product/sprint backlogs and burndown charts
Conduct biweekly status reviews covering accomplishments, risks, issues, actions, and upcoming priorities
Prepare and deliver executive briefings suitable for senior government leadership and cross-organization stakeholders
Maintain a continuously updated risk, issue, and action-tracking register
Coordinate planning across technical, operational, and governance workstreams
Engage stakeholders at sprint close to demonstrate deliverables, gather feedback, and adjust priorities
Ensure all management artifacts are version-controlled and client-accessible
Key Deliverables
Integrated Master Schedule (draft and final, early in the engagement; maintained thereafter)
Quality Assurance Plan
Monthly status reports including quality-control status
Executive briefing materials, as needed
Risk/issue/action register, folded into recurring status reporting
What We're Looking For
Proven program/project management experience in a federal or regulated environment, working with government stakeholders and structured deliverables
Demonstrated experience delivering work under defined service levels with documented quality controls and formal deliverable acceptance
Strong agile delivery background — sprint cadence, backlog management, burndown tracking
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to produce executive-ready briefings and concise status reporting
Comfortable operating efficiently in a part-time capacity across a technical data/cloud program
Familiarity with data platform or cloud (AWS) programs strongly preferred — enough technical fluency to coordinate database, data engineering, and governance workstreams credibly
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Certifications
PMP or PMI-ACP (strongly preferred for this role)
