Job Summary: The HR Manager is expected to perform HR-related duties in a professional manner, be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the personnel department, supporting the benefits, recruitment, onboarding, education and payroll functions of the department. The HR Manager provides support to the Chief Operating Officer with regard to labor and employee relations. This position will assist in the responsibilities in the following functional areas: training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance. Own and maintain all HR related Policies and Procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, with, at least 2 years of college courses in human resource services
management or a related field.
Experience:
- 2 years of Human Resources experience.
- Hospital or Government experience required.
- Professional Certification in HR Field preferred.
Expectations:
Adheres to hospital district Policy and Procedures, acts as a role model within and outside the hospital district, performs duties as workload necessitates, demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload, consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position. Draft and manage through the District approval process new HR related policies, procedures as well as manage and update existing Policies and Procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide applicants with information regarding compensation, job benefits, and working
Conditions.
- Use of human resources management software to prepare and maintain records of
employee hiring, promotions, transfers, or terminations.
- Explain human resources policies, standards and procedures to employees to ensure
Compliance.
- Conduct interviews and review applications to match candidates with job requirements.
- Process various applications, employment, and enrollment, pay change information and
other confidential forms.
- Gathers information & prepares standard to complex reports
- Maintains & distributes current employee information, policy & procedure manuals & other communications.
- Perform duties involving employee communications, pre-employment screening, routinequestions on human resources
- Identifying potential issues and grievances.
- Maintains desktop computer systems to support human resources administration processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Primarily desk-based work; light lifting of office supplies (usually under 20 lbs.).
- May require some walking to other departments or facilities
- lifting or carrying boxes and objects up to 10 pounds, such as boxes of files or equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
