Key Responsibilities
- High-Quality Collision Repair: Perform all levels of collision repair services, including structural metal replacement, sheet metal repair, and frame/unibody alignment.
- Precision Diagnostics: Review repair orders, work orders, and Estimator notes thoroughly to fully understand the scope of work. Complete a parts review for accuracy before beginning repairs.
- Detail-Oriented Repair Procedures: Perform Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) repairs and identify/document warrant-able repairs on the repair order.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate proactively with the Production Manager or Estimator regarding any hidden damage or required supplements/add-on parts.
- Safety & Efficiency: Maintain a safe, clean, and highly organized workspace. Complete all duties in a timely, efficient manner to help the shop achieve target delivery dates.
- Quality Control: Road test vehicles when necessary to ensure repairs meet our strict safety and quality standards before delivery.
Position Requirements
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as an Auto Body / Collision Technician, with proficiency in body repairs, structural metal/panel replacement, and frame/unibody diagnostics and repair.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of manufacturer-specific repair processes (including Ford/Lincoln and CJDR standards).
- Tools & Equipment: Proficient in using frame machines, measuring systems, welding equipment, and standard collision repair tools.
- Self-Motivated Attitude: High energy, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
- Credentials: Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.
