We are a fast-growing manufacturing company located in the Concord, NC area. We are looking to hire a Plant Manager with strong leadership and analytical skills to join our dynamic team. Our company specializes in the custom design and execution of a wide variety of thermal and protective components and heat shield products.

Hours: 6:00 AM- 5:00 PM Monday - Friday

Must be able to work weekends as needed

Summary:

The Plant Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading the day-to-day manufacturing operations on the plant floor to support the effective growth of the company and return on assets. The Plant Manager will develop strategic plans to optimize productivity and reduce manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.

Using a “Hands-On” leadership style the Plant Manager will engage with staff to train, develop and track performance with a focus on production, safety, and quality control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Provides direct supervision to employees, along with objective setting, performance management, conflict resolution, motivation, training, and coaching.
• Partner with human resources to manage disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Management of manufacturing workforce including hiring, termination, corrective action, and performance reviews.
• Develops and implements manufacturing plans and standards, which includes managing materials, equipment, and labor to meet business needs.
• Build or improve procedures, metrics, and processes.
• Overseeing and coordinating daily production and maintaining a production schedule assuring on-time delivery of all orders.
• Leading and actively participating in daily production meetings.
• Demonstrating knowledge of all assembly and production procedures and developing new processes to increase efficiency. Must also demonstrate knowledge of all materials and associated suppliers.
• Understanding and incorporating all policies and procedures concerning Quality Control and ISO 9001
• Coach team in continuous improvement tools such as 5S methodology.
• Authorized and responsible for releasing conforming finished products to customers.
• Inventory Management including setting and monitoring maximum and minimum stock.

Safety

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and assure all team members follow safe work practices.
• Responsible for ensuring full compliance with OSHA Standards and making certain that periodic maintenance is performed on all machinery and equipment.
• Responsible for regular facility inspections.
• Conduct safety training.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years of management experience as a manager in the manufacturing field REQUIRED.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university is required.
• Must have experience with ISO Standard Compliance and QMS.
• Must demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Must have great communication skills, including maintaining verbal and written correspondence with management, as well as co-workers, vendors, and customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Must be computer literate, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Office Suite.
• Must be adaptive to seasonal changes in the business.
• Must be able to work extended hours including weekends.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50Lbs.
• Pass Background Check and Motor Vehicle Check.
• Must be able to provide at least three professional references.
