Full-Time | Monday through Friday
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Starting Pay: $26.00 per Hour

Applicants must have a current Washington State Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) license.

As our Mental Health Assistant, you'll work closely with the Mental Health Professional and Activities Coordinator to support residents as they work toward personal goals, build life skills, connect with community resources, and participate in meaningful activities.

This is a hands-on role where relationships matter, every day is different, and the work you do has a direct impact on the lives of the people we serve.

What You'll Do

As a Mental Health Assistant, you'll work directly with residents to help them achieve their goals and build greater independence. Every day is different, but your focus will always be on supporting residents in meaningful, practical ways.

Responsibilities include:

• Meet one-on-one with residents to support individualized goals
• Assist residents with obtaining Social Security cards, birth certificates, state identification, and other important documents
• Help residents apply for benefits, insurance, housing resources, and other community services
• Support residents with enrolling in school, vocational programs, or employment opportunities
• Teach and encourage residents to access community resources, including public transportation
• Work closely with the Activities Coordinator to encourage participation in recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities
• Partner with the Mental Health Professional to carry out treatment plans and resident goals
• Document resident progress and maintain accurate electronic records
• Build positive, professional relationships while maintaining healthy boundaries
• Advocate for residents while encouraging them to develop the skills and confidence to complete tasks independently

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

• Current Washington State Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) license
• Experience working with adults living with mental illness, behavioral health needs, or developmental disabilities preferred
• Experience in residential care, behavioral health, social services, or a related field preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience using electronic documentation systems
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
