Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials using various types of equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks. Your expertise will ensure safe, accurate, and timely handling of inventory while maintaining high safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations. Duties

• Operate a variety of material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
• Safely load and unload shipments by hand or with mechanical equipment, ensuring proper stacking and storage in designated areas.
• Conduct inventory management activities including barcode scanning for logistics accuracy and updating warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Pick orders accurately using order picker equipment, ensuring correct items are selected for shipment or restocking.
• Maintain safety standards in production by adhering to forklift safety protocols and manual handling guidelines.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic repairs on forklifts and other material handling tools to ensure optimal operation.
• Assist with shipping & receiving processes, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries for dispatch.
• Support warehouse distribution tasks by organizing storage areas, managing stock levels, and conducting regular inventory counts.
• Follow all safety standards in warehouse operations to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment for all team members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklifts (including lift trucks, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo) and other material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and barcode scanners.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management procedures.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards in production environments and warehouse safety protocols.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual materials handling tasks efficiently.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments or inventory data accurately.
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is a plus.
• Previous warehouse experience with order picking, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow safety procedures diligently.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
