A growing South Florida law firm handling sophisticated litigation matters involving foreclosure defense, business disputes, landlord-tenant matters, commercial litigation, and related real estate conflicts throughout Florida is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant. This is a contract position, is part-time basis (20 Hours Per Week) and fully remote.

This position is ideal for a legal assistant with prior litigation experience who is comfortable supporting attorneys in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple matters simultaneously. Candidates with experience in commercial litigation, foreclosure litigation, real estate litigation, or civil litigation are strongly encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will thrive in litigation environments and enjoy handling complex legal matters.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with commercial litigation and foreclosure matters
• Draft, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, notices, and court filings
• Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and case updates
• E-file documents in Florida state and federal courts
• Organize and maintain electronic case files and litigation documents
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors
• Assist with document collection, case management, and trial preparation support

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Litigation Legal Assistant
• Experience with commercial litigation, foreclosure, or real estate litigation strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Florida court procedures and e-filing systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus
