Pay: $26.50 - $29.00 per hour

Location: Mesa, AZ 85205 (In-Person)

Schedule: 4-Day Work Week (Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks for custom foam, packaging, and protective case solutions
• Develop BOMs (Bills of Materials), assembly drawings, and production instructions
• Modify and revise existing models and drawings based on engineering input, customer changes, or production feedback
• Collaborate with engineers, production, and sales to ensure designs are functional, manufacturable, and meet all requirements
• Maintain clear documentation and organized CAD files that meet AS9100D and ITAR standards
• Occasionally assist with rendering, prototyping, or mock-ups to support customer proposals or internal projects
• Identify and solve potential design issues early—because we don’t like surprises on the shop floor

What You Bring:

• Proficiency in SolidWorks is required (assemblies, part files, drawings, and configurations)
• Understanding of mechanical drafting standards, GD&T, and manufacturing processes
• Experience creating technical drawings for fabrication—bonus points for experience with foam, cases, or packaging design
• Ability to read and interpret specs, prints, and customer requirements with sharp attention to detail
• A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with AS9100D documentation practices and ITAR requirements is a big plus (or willingness to learn)
• High standards for quality—you care about getting it right the first time

Work Environment:

• Office/design setting with regular interaction with production and engineering teams
• Occasionally required to go onto the production floor to validate drawings or review physical builds
• Work performed under AS9100D-certified and ITAR-compliant processes

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 years of drafting or design experience (SolidWorks preferred)
• Technical degree or SolidWorks certification a plus
