Job Summary:
The Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving the adoption and sales of our prefabricated rebar products within the concrete construction sector. This role requires a deep understanding of concrete construction methodologies, project management, and site operations to effectively articulate the value proposition of our advanced rebar solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage their industry experience to identify client needs, provide technical guidance, and develop customized solutions that lead to successful project outcomes and increased market share.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for prefabricated rebar products.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with general contractors, concrete contractors, structural engineers, and other key stakeholders in commercial, infrastructure, and industrial construction projects.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their project requirements and offering tailored rebar solutions.
- Conduct detailed presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting the cost savings, efficiency gains, and quality improvements offered by prefabricated rebar.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and meet client specifications.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients during the pre-construction, bidding, and execution phases of projects.
- Negotiate terms and close sales agreements, managing the sales cycle from lead generation to order conversion.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of proven experience in concrete construction, with significant time spent as a Project Manager or Concrete Superintendent .
- Demonstrated understanding of concrete construction processes, rebar fabrication, installation, and relevant industry standards.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to comprehend and explain complex engineering and product details.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Results-oriented with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling construction materials or specialized construction services.
- Existing network of contacts within the concrete construction industry.
- Knowledge of CAD software or rebar detailing processes.
