Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen by assisting in food preparation and ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking. Duties

• Prepare and chop ingredients, including vegetables, meats, and herbs, using appropriate knife skills.
• Assist in the assembly of dishes and ensure that all items are prepared according to recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food as needed.
• Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Help with inventory management by checking supplies and reporting shortages.

Experience

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining a safe working environment.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are important for success in this role.
