About the Role

The Operational Excellence Co-op will support continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimizing processes, reducing waste, and enhancing operational efficiency. This role provides hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and improvement methodologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Optimization: Support the identification, analysis, and improvement of operational processes.
• Lean Methodologies: Participate actively in continuous improvement projects using Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Data Analysis: Collect, monitor, and analyze data to identify operational bottlenecks and efficiency opportunities.
• KPI Tracking: Track and report key operational metrics (e.g., OEE, yield, scrap, etc.) to the management team.
• Documentation: Assist in creating, reviewing, and updating process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows, and process maps.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate on cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives across different departments.
• Workshops & Reporting: Support the preparation of data-driven reports, presentations on project results, and participate in Kaizen events and improvement workshops.
• Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards established by the company.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Eligibility

• Academic Program: Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Current Student: Must be an active undergraduate student currently in their 2nd or 3rd year of university.
• Note: Candidates who have already graduated are not eligible for this COOP position.
• Available to complete a formal COOP/Internship term.
