Plant Manager

Location: Harrisville, WV

Company Summary: Troy Nonwovens uses recycled plastic materials to create clean and lightweight synthetic fiber used in numerous commercial applications such as padding, linings, insulation, and industrial filters. Troy currently focuses on automotive customers and supplies nonwoven materials to tier one customers for both thermal and acoustic applications.

Objective: Troy Nonwovens is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize as necessary to meet production targets while maintaining product quality and upholding safety standards. The Plant Manager uses metrics to measure efficiency and make decisions, while working closely with other departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Oversee all operations of the manufacturing plant, including production, scheduling, quality control, safety, and maintenance.

· Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the plant.

· Manage a team of supervisors and production workers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure that production targets are met, and that problems or issues are satisfactorily resolved.

· Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure that production schedules are aligned with customer demand and business objectives.

· Navigate customer relationships with the commercial team.

· Ensure that products meet quality standards and customer specifications and address any quality issues promptly and effectively.

· Implement and monitor safety procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.

· Manage the plant budget and oversee procurement of equipment and materials needed for production.

· Analyze data and prepare reports on production performance, including metrics such as output, efficiency, and yield.

· Lead maintenance projects and develop comprehensive PM plans.

· Ensure that operational transactions are recorded timely, providing accurate data base for inventory, operational metrics, purchasing, shipping and finance.

· Exhibit working knowledge of ERP systems and a willingness to learn.

Required Skillset:

· Computer skills, such as MS Office (Word and Excel) and email

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Mathematical and analysis skills

· Ability to issue and follow oral and written instruction

· Maintenance experience, including troubleshooting and prevention

· Ability to read and interpret part blueprints and specifications

· Experience with variable and attribute gaging

· Experience with Micrometer / Caliper / Scale and other measuring equipment

ERP System Experience and willingness to learn.

Physical Demands:

The Plant Manager is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. This employee is frequently required to hear and talk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Working in the plant exposes employees to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes. PPE is required when working in the plant and may include the use of safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, cut-resistant gloves, and sleeves.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); 5-10 years of manufacturing leadership experience including ISO training, understanding of lean manufacturing concepts, OSHA requirements and supervisory experience.

10-hour shift, on site and in person
