Plant Manager

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations in New Orleans, LA, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, receiving, and shipping. The main focus of this role is to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes while driving productivity and profitability. Other duties include supporting recruitment, hiring, and training efforts, managing facility maintenance and improvements, and overseeing annual budget planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance for daily plant operations.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain product consistency and identify areas for process improvement.
• Manage production schedules to uphold inventory levels and maximize operational efficiency.
• Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of manufacturing staff.
• Monitor operational expenses and seek cost reduction opportunities without sacrificing quality.
• Promote safety initiatives and uphold a culture of safety in partnership with Human Resources.
• Maintain a strong safety program, including accurate and timely reporting.
• Develop, manage, and execute plant budgets.
• Evaluate workforce needs, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching to team members.
• Promote a continuous improvement mindset across plant operations.
• Identify and address production bottlenecks to meet operational goals effectively.
• Enhance productivity by eliminating waste and inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to improve supplier relationships and procurement processes.
• Oversee plant security systems.
