SALARY: Base listed; commensurate with experience. Highly competitive, per Rush-Henrietta Teachers’ Contract
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Holds a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the field of nursing; holds current license as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State; has experience in the area of pediatric, and/or school nursing; possess professional role-modeling, communication, cultural competence, and interpersonal skills; a strong knowledge of school nursing procedures and services, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality are expected. Must maintain flexibility to float between assigned work locations. Daily work schedule will vary, and is based on school assignment, between the hours of 7:10am-3:45pm.
DUTIES: Rush-Henrietta is seeking candidates for a full-time position as a floating school nurse. The nurse will move between different school buildings based on staffing needs. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assisting with covering nursing duties in the school building, administering medications, assisting with the review of immunization records of new entrants, and assisting with various medical screenings throughout the year.
