Head of Training / Senior Firearms Instructor
Location: Albuquerque, NM (Eastside & Westside Locations)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Base pay plus performance incentives with the opportunity to earn $60,000–$75,000+ annually.
Position Overview
Calibers Indoor Shooting Centers is seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Training / Senior Firearms Instructor to lead and grow one of New Mexico's premier firearms training programs. This position is responsible for mentoring instructors, developing curriculum, maintaining a high standard of professionalism, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
This leadership position serves both Calibers locations and requires flexibility to teach, mentor, and support operations at our Eastside and Westside facilities.

Responsibilities
- Teach group classes and private lessons at both Calibers locations.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate firearms instructors.
- Develop and improve curriculum and training programs.
- Coordinate and maintain the training calendar.
- Ensure classes are conducted safely, professionally, and consistently.
- Support special events, member programs, and community outreach efforts.
- Work with management and marketing to grow participation in training programs.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture among instructors and staff.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment for shooters of all experience levels.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current New Mexico Concealed Carry Instructor License required.
- Previous firearms instruction experience required.
- Outstanding leadership, management, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Must be able and willing to work at both Calibers locations.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- NRA and/or USCCA instructor certifications.
- Additional firearms-related certifications.
- Previous management or supervisory experience.
- Experience developing curriculum and mentoring instructors.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
