Job Summary
The Client Operations Partner (COP) serves as a strategic advisor and operational partner to healthcare clients participating in Enjoin's DRG Assurance program. This role combines project management, clinical documentation improvement (CDI) expertise, client consulting, and operational analysis to help hospitals optimize documentation practices, improve reimbursement accuracy, and strengthen compliance outcomes.
Working closely with client leadership, CDI teams, coding professionals, and Enjoin physicians, the Client Operations Partner leads implementation efforts, evaluates program performance, identifies improvement opportunities, and delivers education that supports sustainable documentation and revenue cycle outcomes. This highly collaborative, client-facing role requires strong relationship management, healthcare operations knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary operational partner for assigned DRG Assurance clients, building strong relationships and ensuring a positive client experience.
- Lead implementation and ongoing management of client engagements, including project planning, workflow development, milestone tracking, and issue resolution.
- Conduct program assessments, workflow evaluations, and gap analyses to identify opportunities for CDI and operational improvement.
- Collaborate with Enjoin physicians and internal stakeholders to review findings, analyze trends, and present actionable recommendations to client leadership.
- Analyze DRG Assurance results, denial trends, documentation patterns, and operational metrics to support improved program performance.
- Provide education and guidance to CDI specialists, coding teams, physicians, and hospital leadership regarding documentation integrity, query practices, DRG assignment, and quality outcomes.
- Assist clients in developing sustainable CDI workflows, processes, and reporting structures that support long-term success.
- Support operational reporting, client presentations, and executive-level communications regarding program outcomes and opportunities.
- Partner with Enjoin's Operations team on data analytics initiatives, chart selection activities, and special projects.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, regulatory requirements, and company policies while supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in occasional client site visits, conferences, and industry events as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or another healthcare-related field.
- RN or RHIA credential required.
- Minimum of 10 years of healthcare experience in Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI), coding, nursing, revenue cycle, or related healthcare operations.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, DRG reimbursement methodologies, clinical documentation requirements, and healthcare quality measures.
- Experience providing education and guidance to clinicians, coders, CDI specialists, or healthcare leadership.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and client relationships in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- CCDS, CDIP, CCS, or similar healthcare documentation/coding certification.
- Experience supporting or leading CDI, DRG Assurance, coding, revenue integrity, or documentation improvement programs.
- Experience developing or managing CDI programs in acute care or ambulatory settings.
- Leadership or management experience overseeing CDI or coding teams.
- Experience working with Epic, Cerner, 3M, Solventum, Power BI, or similar healthcare technology platforms.
- Experience presenting operational, financial, or performance metrics to executive leadership, physicians, and clinical stakeholders.
- Consulting, client-facing, or vendor partnership experience within healthcare organizations.
