Project Manager – Owner’s Representative / Commercial Construction
Our expanding Owner’s Representative and Project Management firm is seeking a talented Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience to join our team.
The ideal candidate must have experience with large-scale commercial, institutional, mixed-use, new construction, and/or alteration projects. Our firm does not perform single-family residential construction, and only candidates with relevant commercial construction experience will be considered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing assigned projects in a safe, timely, organized, efficient, and professional manner. The Project Manager will serve as a key point of contact for clients and project teams and will be responsible for overseeing project budgets, schedules, contracts, change orders, meetings, documentation, and overall project coordination.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Represent the company when working with existing clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Manage multiple projects at one time, in various stages of design and construction
- Oversee and coordinate design development with architects, engineers, and consultants from schematic design through construction documents
- Develop and review project budgets during SD, DD, and CD phases
- Prepare project scopes of work, bid documents, and bid packages
- Review bids, prepare bid analyses, and make recommendations for award
- Read, review, and understand construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Assist with permitting requirements and coordination with local, state, and federal agencies
- Oversee day-to-day project management responsibilities
- Attend and lead OAC meetings and project coordination meetings
- Work closely with project coordinators, site teams, consultants, contractors, and ownership groups
- Track project budgets, contracts, change orders, and project costs
- Maintain organized and updated project files and documentation
- Track all changes throughout the course of the project
- Perform on-site inspections for quality of work, quality of materials, code compliance, safety, conformance with plans and specifications, and general project progress
- Create, maintain, and update project schedules
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and project teams
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction estimating and/or project management experience
- Relevant experience in the New York metropolitan area
- Experience with new construction and alteration projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
- Familiarity with field/project management software such as Procore is a plus
- Working knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and OSHA requirements
- Four-year college degree preferred, but not required
Work Environment and Schedule:
- Location: Rockville Centre, NY
- Candidates must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay Range: $95,000 – $120,000 annually, based on experience
