SPIRE Academy is a comprehensive academic, athletic, personal skills and career development experience located within a world-class event and wellness complex. Constructed on nearly 800 acres with more than 750,000 sq. ft. under roof, SPIRE (encompasses four divisions: SPIRE Academy, an accredited college preparatory international boarding school and multi-sport/specialty training and development academy for 9-12 graders and a post grad program; SPIRE Institute, the research and development arm studying performance improvement across multiple disciplines; SPIRE Events, a facility and team that hosts local, national and international tournaments and events with the NCAA, the Big East, Big Ten and Atlantic 10 conferences, Olympic trials and world championship qualifiers; and SPIRE Fit, a community membership-based fitness, swim and health center open to the public. Sports currently featured on campus include soccer, swimming, track and field, basketball, esports, drone racing, wrestling and lacrosse.
Overview
The Director of Marketing is responsible for leading and executing the comprehensive marketing strategy for SPIRE Academy and all revenue-generating business units, including Academy Enrollment, Camps, Events, Sponsorship Activation, Performance Training, Facility Rentals, Retail and Emerging Revenue Opportunities.
This individual will develop and implement integrated marketing strategies that clearly define SPIRE's competitive differentiation, strengthen brand awareness, generate qualified leads, increase enrollment and registrations, drive participation, and support revenue growth across the organization.
The Director of Marketing will partner closely with Academy/Admissions, Athletics, Camps, Events, Partnerships, and Executive Leadership to ensure marketing efforts align with organizational priorities and revenue goals. This role will oversee the planning, execution, measurement, and optimization of marketing initiatives across traditional and digital channels while managing internal resources and external partners to maximize visibility, engagement, and conversion throughout the customer journey.
Areas of responsibility include brand strategy, enrollment marketing, lead generation, campaign development and activation, CRM and email marketing, website management, content strategy, social media, SEO/SEM, paid advertising, public relations support, sponsorship activation, and performance analytics.
Responsibilities
· Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies and campaigns that drive revenue priorities
· Partner closely with all departments to align marketing initiatives with organizational priorities and revenue objectives
· Lead brand positioning, messaging, and storytelling efforts that strengthen SPIRE's market presence
· Differentiate the organization from competitors by driving market research and supporting product development
· Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing initiatives across digital, social, email, CRM, website, SEO/SEM, paid media, public relations, content marketing, print collateral, signage, and on-site activations
· Collaborate with internal and external creative resources to develop compelling content, campaigns, multimedia assets, and promotional materials that support enrollment, events, programs, sponsorship activation, and organizational growth
· Manage and maintain SPIRE's website, marketing calendars, campaign schedules, content pipelines, and marketing asset inventory to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely execution
· Support the activation and fulfillment of sponsorship agreements
· Monitor marketing, enrollment, lead generation, participation, and revenue performance metrics; provide regular reporting, insights, and recommendations to improve effectiveness and return on investment
· Maintain and improve CRM/HubSpot platform, marketing automation systems, analytics tools, AI technologies, and emerging marketing solutions to improve efficiency, audience engagement, lead conversion, and business results
· Lead media days, content creation, campus activations, special events, envirobranding/signage and other initiatives that enhance the SPIRE experience
· Manage marketing resources, budgets, vendors, and cross-functional projects while ensuring alignment with SPIRE's mission, brand standards, and growth objectives
