JOB TITLE: CT Technologist
DEPARTMENT: Radiology
REPORTS TO: Radiology Director
JOB SUMMARY
The Computed Tomography Technologist must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skill sets necessary to provide appropriate care to his/her assigned patient(s)/area(s). This individual will administer ionizing radiation using ALARA and/or Image Gently/Wisely principles to patients of all age groups and will perform computed tomography studies using appropriate imaging and ancillary equipment. They will also address computed tomography quality control, ensuring excellent radiation safety standards and practices are met, while consistently maintaining accurate and reliable documentation/record keeping. Additional modality responsibilities will be based on the individual skill sets and licensure/certifications held. This ultimately means that a computed tomography technologist may be asked to address other modalities as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of one-year clinical experience (2 years is preferred).
