A: Purpose and Scope
The Quality Assurance Inspector - Closer performs in-process and post-production inspection, in support of customer requirements and specifications, as defined on the MPS and in Control Plans. Maintain detailed knowledge of acceptable criteria for continuous quality output on production lines. Completes end of shift tasks.
B: Responsibilities
The inspection of all products to the predetermined inspection plan as outlined in quality procedures.
Demonstrated part measurement via contact and non-contact instrumentation.
Responsible for quality physical space and requirements including health and cleanliness standards.
Responsible for assuring that all documentation is complete and accurate and complies with Industry Regulation and ISO.
Visual inspection of all non-demonstrated attributes.
Recording and maintaining all data and support documentation.
Support on-the-job training to packers as it relates to packaging integrity, orientation, and overall integrity.
Assist with daily re-checks, finished pallet release and daily job closeouts.
Assist in post-inspection documentation review.
Maintain inspection tables and cleaning duties for the packaging room.
Completes end of shift tasks outlined in “Quality End of The Day Shut Down” Work Instruction WI-015.
Complete cleaning logs daily.
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.
C: Organizational Relationship
The Quality Control Inspector - Closer reports directly to the Quality Control Supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
A: Education and Training
High school diploma or equivalent GED
Experience with quality control techniques such as ISO 9001:2015
Experience with measuring devices such as micrometers, vision scope, computers, rulers, measuring tape, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
One to two years’ quality inspector experience
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities/training.

The Quality Control Inspector - will have completed company packer training.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
