Will support designers and engineers, prepare plans, reports, and specifications with electrical, IT infrastructure, security systems and telecommunications systems.
This internship presents an opportunity to work on a wide range of projects in the Critical Infrastructure (airports, sea ports, bridges, power plants, chemical plants, refineries, LNG plants, water treatment plants), Transportation (aviation, mass transit), Healthcare (hospitals, senior assisted living communities), Education (universities, community colleges, K-12), Municipality (city, county), and Oil and Gas (off-shore platforms, remote site communications).
Initial engineering tasks will be to conduct electrical load analysis, RF propagation modeling, data storage and bandwidth analysis in addition to design tasks such as structured cabling, fiber optic distribution, MDF/Datacenter design, equipment specifications, vendor selection and cost estimating. Special tasks may be assigned to develop video analytics, solar/wind power generation, battery calculations and thermo imaging technologies.
