Progressive, well-established dental practice needs a full-time business professional to serve as Dental Billing Specialist. Will oversee all aspects of dental billing and some insurance. Must be organized and detail-oriented, be a team player, and able to multi task. Excellent people/communication skills and strong computer skills are required. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced dental office. Dental/Eaglesoft experience preferred. Benefits include paid time off after 90 days and working in the best dental office!

Job Description

• Submit all claims within 24 hours and pre-authorizations when necessary.
• Appeals
• Review patient accounts and determine appropriate billing adjustments and allocations.
• Runs/sends statements daily as payments come in and every week otherwise.
• Posts third party payments received to appropriate patient accounts; scans Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) timely and correctly.
• Investigates all denied claims, corrects any errors and resubmits the claims for payment.
• Audit each patients chart to ensure correct payment was taken, past due balances received, and the procedures on the ledger match the doctor notes and route slip. Then alert manager if anything is incorrect.
• Trace claims to ensure that have been recieved and are in process within 7-1 business days of submission date.
• Aging reports

Minimum requirements:

• 1 year dental billing experience
• High School/GED
