We are seeking an experienced Patient Care Representative with a strong background in medical office operations, patient registration, scheduling, and customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for a contract position with the potential to become a permanent employee.

Location:

Schedule:

• Full-time
• Monday–Friday
• 8-hour shifts between 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• No weekends, holidays, or anticipated overtime

Contract:

• 13-week assignment
• Temp-to-perm opportunity

What You'll Do

• Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
• Register patients and verify demographic, insurance, and medical information.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate provider calendars.
• Answer and route incoming phone calls while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Verify insurance benefits and assist with prior authorizations and pre-certifications.
• Collect patient payments and reconcile daily cash batches.
• Maintain accurate patient records and prepare charts for clinic visits.
• Enter and update patient information in Epic.
• Provide administrative support to physicians, clinical staff, and the Practice Manager.
• Maintain an organized and efficient front office while ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and all VHC Health policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate degree preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Office Receptionist or Patient Care Representative experience.
• Experience working in a physician practice or specialty medical office.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic EMR experience
• Women's Health or OB/GYN experience
• Maternal Fetal Medicine experience
• Surgical scheduling experience
• Insurance verification and prior authorization experience

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
