About Good Reptiles
Good Reptiles is a rapidly growing reptile nutrition and care brand dedicated to providing premium products for reptiles and the passionate community that supports them. We are looking for a highly motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, opening new accounts, and driving revenue growth.
This is not an order-taking position. We are seeking a hunter—someone who enjoys prospecting, traveling, and building a territory from the ground up.
Position Summary
The Sales Representative will be responsible for expanding Good Reptiles’ retail footprint by acquiring new pet store accounts, developing distributor relationships, increasing product placement, and driving repeat sales. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and passionate about sales performance.
Compensation StructureBase Salary
- $30,000 -$40,000 annually (DOE)
Commission
- 8% commission on first-year sales from all newly opened accounts
- 4% commission on reorder sales from accounts within the assigned territory
- Uncapped earning potential

ResponsibilitiesNew Account Acquisition
- Prospect and contact independent pet stores, reptile specialty retailers, breeders, and other potential customers
- Conduct phone outreach, email campaigns, and in-person sales visits
- Present Good Reptiles products and secure new retail placements
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
Territory Development
- Develop and execute territory growth plans
- Identify market opportunities and competitive threats
- Increase product distribution and shelf presence within existing accounts
Account Management
- Maintain strong relationships with store owners, buyers, and managers
- Drive reorder volume and increase SKU penetration
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Distributor Development
- Introduce Good Reptiles products to regional and national distributors
- Support distributor training and sales initiatives
- Assist with distributor promotions and product launches
Industry Engagement
- Attend reptile expos, trade shows, and industry events
- Represent the Good Reptiles brand professionally
- Build relationships within the reptile and pet retail community
Reporting & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate CRM records
- Track store visits, sales activity, and customer interactions
- Submit weekly activity and pipeline reports
QualificationsRequired
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, territory management, or business development
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline and meet performance goals
Preferred
- Experience in the pet industry, reptile industry, animal nutrition, or CPG sales
- Existing relationships with pet retailers, distributors, or breeders
- Experience attending trade shows and industry events
- CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, etc.)

What Success Looks Like
Within the first 12 months, the successful candidate will:
- Sign new independent pet store accounts
- Establish strong distributor relationships
- Increase Good Reptiles’ presence within the specialty pet channel
- Consistently exceed sales targets while growing recurring revenue
Pay: $40,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
