Duties

• Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and balancing registers at shift end.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling to maximize sales opportunities.
• Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining attractive displays to enhance store merchandising efforts.
• Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone inquiries or order placements.
• Support in inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and product rotation to ensure the sales floor remains well-stocked and inviting.

Experience

• Prior retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar fast-paced environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations.
• Supervising experience is a plus, particularly in overseeing team members or training new staff.
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to better serve diverse customer needs.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain product features and answer customer questions confidently.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations.
• Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies will set you apart.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
