Cator Ruma & Associates is a leading engineering consulting firm specializing in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design. CRA is seeking a Mechanical or Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Salt Lake City Office. The ideal candidate will have the desire and capability if of taking a leadership role in the development and expansion of our Salt Lake City Office. They should possess strong knowledge in institutional building mechanical systems, along with a thorough understanding of applicable national codes, standards, and regulations. Proficiency in Revit is a plus, and candidates should either hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license or be actively working toward obtaining one.
The ideal candidate must have:
- 4-year engineering degree from an accredited institution.
- 3-7 years of consulting engineering experience.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Great team player who has the desire and skill to grow the firm.
Typical Responsibilities of the Ideal Candidate:
- Works closely with Cator Ruma's Principals in our Colorado, Idaho and Wyoming offices.
- Participates in business development, including client relationship management, proposal preparation, and pursuit strategy.
- Contributes towards internal leadership, office growth, staffing, and strategic planning.
- Provides project oversight, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
- Interfaces directly with coworkers, clients and end users to understand and document expectations.
- Leads the project during design and construction.
- Completes project designs, drawings in 3D Revit and/or 2D CAD, site observations, specifications, calculations, equipment selection and application, and construction administration as necessary.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
