Position Summary
The Senior Project Planner / Scheduler is responsible for the development, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project. This position supports project execution by establishing baseline schedules, tracking progress, identifying schedule risks, performing critical path analysis, and providing accurate forecasting to project management and executive leadership.
The role requires strong construction planning experience, advanced scheduling expertise, and the ability to work closely with operations, engineering, procurement, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Primary Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop detailed project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project (MS Project).
- Establish project work breakdown structures (WBS) aligned with contract requirements.
- Develop baseline schedules from bid estimates, execution plans, and contract milestones.
- Create resource-loaded schedules and manpower forecasts.
- Develop schedule logic, activity sequencing, and critical path networks.
- Maintain schedule integrity and compliance with project controls procedures.
Schedule Management
- Update project schedules on a weekly basis.
- Collect progress updates from field supervision, engineering, procurement, and subcontractors.
- Analyze schedule performance against baseline.
- Identify schedule variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform critical path and float analysis.
- Evaluate schedule impacts resulting from change orders, delays, and disruptions.
Project Controls & Reporting
- Generate weekly and monthly schedule reports.
- Develop executive-level schedule dashboards and KPI reporting.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules (2-week, 3-week, 6-week, and 12-week).
- Provide earned value and productivity reporting as required.
- Support project forecasting and completion projections.
- Track contractual milestones and key deliverables.
Change Management
- Analyze schedule impacts associated with RFIs, design changes, and change orders.
- Prepare Time Impact Analyses (TIA).
- Support preparation of Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REA) and delay claims.
- Document schedule impacts resulting from owner, engineering, procurement, or subcontractor delays.
- Assist project management in developing recovery schedules and mitigation plans.
Coordination & Communication
- Participate in weekly project meetings.
- Coordinate schedule activities with:
o Project Management
o Construction Management
o Engineering
o Procurement
o Quality Control
o Safety
o Subcontractors
o Clients
- Present schedule updates and recovery plans to executive leadership and clients.

Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Controls, Business Management, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent industry experience considered.
Experience
- Minimum 10+ years of construction planning and scheduling experience.
- Experience on industrial, manufacturing, refinery, power, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects exceeding $25 million.
- Strong understanding of EPC and self-perform construction environments.
Technical Skills

Pay: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
