Part-Time Warehouse Associate

Monday–Friday | 12:00 PM–4:00 PM | $20 per hour

BrightStar Systems is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Warehouse Associate to join our team in Rancho Cordova. This is a consistent weekday position working approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

The primary responsibilities will be receiving incoming equipment and carefully packing customer orders for shipment. During slower shipping and receiving periods, the employee will assist with inventory organization, cleaning, and other general warehouse duties.

We specialize in refurbished networking equipment. Because many of the products we handle are valuable electronic components, attention to detail, accuracy, and careful handling are extremely important.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unpack incoming shipments
• Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips
• Inspect products for visible damage or discrepancies
• Accurately label, store, and organize inventory
• Pick and pack customer orders
• Select appropriate boxes and packing materials to protect equipment during shipment
• Prepare packages for UPS, FedEx, and other shipping carriers
• Safely operate a manual pallet jack to move inventory
• Move equipment and inventory between warehouse locations
• Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse organization
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Break down boxes and dispose of packing materials
• Perform other warehouse-related tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Dependable and able to maintain a consistent Monday–Friday schedule
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfortable working independently after training
• Organized and able to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
• Careful when handling valuable electronic equipment
• Able to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout a four-hour shift
• Able to safely lift and carry packages weighing up to 40 pounds
• Willing and able to safely operate a manual pallet jack
• Basic computer skills
• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, or packing experience is helpful but not required

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
• Approximately 20 hours per week
• Consistent, year-round schedule
• In-person position in Rancho Cordova, California

Compensation

• $20 per hour
