Job Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Software Developer who is eager to learn our business, work directly with team members across departments, and build practical software applications that solve real operational problems.

Our company primarily operates in non-medical home care, with the possibility of supporting other business lines as well. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants more than just coding assignments. You will learn how our business works, speak directly with business units to understand their needs, and then help design, build, test, and improve software tools that make our teams more efficient.

Key Responsibilities

As an Entry-Level Software Developer, you will:

• Learn our business lines, workflows, internal processes, and operational challenges.
• Meet with business units to understand software needs, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into practical software applications, tools, dashboards, reports, automations, or integrations.
• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and improve internal applications.
• Work with senior team members to review ideas, architecture, code, and implementation plans.
• Communicate project status clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.
• Help document requirements, processes, user instructions, and application changes.
• Support and enhance existing internal systems as needed.
• Identify opportunities where software can save time, reduce errors, improve reporting, or improve service delivery.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who is early in their software development career but is highly motivated, curious, and interested in understanding how business operations work. You do not need years of professional experience, but you should be comfortable writing code, learning new tools, asking good questions, and taking ownership of projects.

This role is a strong fit for someone who wants to build applications that have direct, real-world impact.

Qualifications

Required:

• Basic software development or coding experience through school, personal projects, bootcamp, internship, freelance work, or prior employment.
• Ability to learn business processes and translate them into software requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, especially with non-technical users.
• Willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and continue learning.
• Ability to work independently after training and direction.
• Interest in building practical applications that improve business operations.

Preferred but not required:

• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, Java, PHP, or similar.
• Familiarity with databases, SQL, APIs, dashboards, automation tools, or web applications.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, CRM systems, scheduling systems, reporting tools, or workflow automation.
• Prior exposure to healthcare, home care, staffing, operations, or service-based businesses.
• Experience creating internal tools, reports, forms, or process improvements.
