Stone Masters Inc. is a well-established, family-owned granite, quartz, and soapstone countertop fabricator and installer serving homeowners, builders, and designers across the Greater Philadelphia area. We’re known for quality craftsmanship, reliable project management, and strong relationships with the trade. We’re growing and adding a dedicated outside sales role to expand our network of high-quality referral partners (builders, kitchen & bath designers, resellers, architects, and GCs). This is a new position focused purely on business development — not on closing individual homeowner sales.
About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated, self-starting Outside Sales Representative whose primary responsibility is to proactively build and onboard new referral partners. You will cold-call, visit job sites and showrooms, present our capabilities, and bring in new sources of business that flow to our inside sales team. You will not be responsible for quoting customers, product selections, or closing homeowner projects — those functions stay with our experienced inside sales group. Your success is measured by the quantity and quality of new active referral partners you add and the resulting closed volume they generate.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, cold-call, and pursue builders, designers, resellers, architects, and GCs in the territory.
- Schedule and conduct in-person meetings and site visits to present Stone Masters’ value, capabilities, and simple referral program.
- Onboard new partners: collect required documents, explain processes, set up tracking in our systems, and ensure first leads/projects are submitted.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with your network through periodic check-ins, marketing support, and feedback loops.
- Diligently log all activity, pipeline, and results in our CRM (Market AI) and sales system (Stone Profits).
- Collaborate closely with inside sales and ownership on handoffs and continuous improvement.
- Represent the company at occasional networking events, builder association meetings, or trade shows as appropriate.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of outside sales, business development, or territory sales experience (construction, building materials, home improvement, or B2B sales strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to cold-call, prospect, and convert new accounts or partnerships.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent time-management and organizational skills — you’ll largely manage your own daily schedule and territory.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel daily throughout the Greater Philadelphia suburbs.
- Comfortable with CRM/sales software (experience with Market AI, Salesforce, or similar is a plus).
- Knowledge of kitchen & bath remodeling, new construction, or stone products is helpful but not required — we will train you thoroughly on our products and processes.
- Positive, professional, and resilient attitude (cold outreach has rejection; we want someone who stays persistent and upbeat).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $55,000 – $60,000 (depending on experience)
- Performance-based commission & bonus plan tied directly to new referral partner acquisition and the closed business those partners generate (realistic first-year total compensation $75k–$95k+ for strong performers; uncapped upside on results)
