Marketing Manager

Lone Rock Resources is seeking a full-time Marketing Manager to join our team in Roseburg, Oregon.

Headquartered in Roseburg, Lone Rock Resources is a fourth-generation family-owned timber company managing approximately 150,000 acres of timberland in southwestern Oregon. About the Role

The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading Lone Rock Resources’ log marketing efforts and serving as a key connection between harvest operations and manufacturing customers. This position oversees the company’s log sales and log quality programs, develops and maintains customer relationships, analyzes market conditions, and provides strategic guidance related to pricing, budgeting, and annual harvest planning. The Marketing Manager provides leadership for the company’s log marketing team and represents Lone Rock throughout the forest products industry.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee and manage the company’s log sales program.

· Oversee the log quality program and work with operations personnel to ensure logs meet customer specifications while maximizing value.

· Maintain and strengthen relationships with manufacturing customers.

· Monitor regional log markets, mill demand, and market trends.

· Prepare log price forecasts, market analyses, and budget projections.

· Assist with annual logging plan updates and harvest scheduling discussions.

· Represent Lone Rock Resources on industry associations.

· Supervise a team consisting of log sellers, timber cruisers, and check scalers.

Qualifications

· Minimum five (5) years of experience in log sales, log procurement, or a related forest products marketing role.

· Strong knowledge of log markets and manufacturing facilities in southwestern Oregon.

· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

· Valid driver license and good driving record.

· Ability to travel throughout southwestern Oregon as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in forestry or a related field.

· Timber cruising experience and familiarity with timber valuation methods.
