Job Summary

The Senior Associate – Quality Engineer works under moderate supervision and independently handles moderately complex projects and assignments. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, customers, and vendors to ensure hardware compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. The position plays a key role in maintaining product quality and supporting operational targets that impact departmental performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between internal teams and customer counterparts to ensure hardware compliance with specifications
• Identify, manage, and communicate deviations and nonconformances across different organizational levels
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements to ensure adherence to customer expectations
• Apply quality engineering principles, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Support aerospace manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and non-destructive testing (NDT)
• Participate in the review and disposition of nonconforming products
• Interface with the Material Review Board (MRB) and provide technical justification for nonconformances
• Contribute to process improvements and problem-solving initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Solid understanding of quality engineering principles and manufacturing processes
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to product development in a cross-functional or multi-disciplinary team environment
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in quality engineering or manufacturing

Additional Information

• Contract Duration: 12 months
• Work Schedule: 5 days/week, 40 hours (1st Shift)
