About The Role

Sobel Tinari Economics Group is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Economic Litigation Analyst to join our in-office team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of economics, law, and real-world impact, supporting litigation attorneys in high-stakes cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, wrongful incarceration, and employment disputes.

You’ll collaborate with senior economists and analysts to quantify economic damages, build financial models, and prepare expert-level reports and exhibits for trial. This is a rigorous, fast-paced environment ideal for someone intellectually curious, organized, and driven by precision.

Key Responsibilities

· Analyze personal and corporate financial documents, including income tax returns, W-2s, paystubs, pension plans, and annual reports

· Review and interpret legal documents such as complaints, deposition transcripts, and contracts

· Conduct economic and labor market research using sources like the Federal Reserve and U.S. Department of Labor

· Build and maintain Excel-based financial models to calculate damages and valuations

· Perform financial reconciliations and organize large volumes of case-related data

· Prepare presentation materials and narrative reports for use in litigation and expert testimony

· Manage multiple projects and deadlines, reprioritizing as needed

· Maintain professional communication with clients and internal teams

· Support senior economists in trial preparation and client service delivery

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics

· 1–3 years of experience in litigation support, forensic economics/accounting, economic consulting, or financial analysis

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (modeling, formulas, data organization)

· Familiarity with financial principles (e.g., present value, compound growth)

· Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is a plus

· Demonstrated ability to analyze and summarize complex data from online and institutional sources

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Professional demeanor and commitment to client service excellence

· Interest in economics and/or legal services, with curiosity about the legal-economic intersection

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
