Project Manager - Commercial Construction
Union Millwork and Carpentry Installation Company, located in the Middletown, CT, area has an opening for an experienced Project Manager. The Project Manager will be accountable for the overall day-to-day project responsibility, including operations, safety, staffing, budgets, and client relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Assist the President in pursuing new customers and Business Development.
-Review contracts, identify risk and notify the project team.
-Manage pre-construction activities including Estimating, Operations Plan and Scheduling.
-May assist the Estimating Department with bidding, and scope review.
-Develop schedule and sequence of work.
-Assign, manage and develop staff.
-Communicate with Foremen and Job Superintendents to maintain productivity and schedule.
-Ensure subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders are reviewed and accurate.
-Implement safety program on all job sites.
-Review, validate and manage W.I.P. reports.
-Develop relationships with clients, sub-contractors, and vendors.
-Work with Office Manager to review monthly requisitions.
-Review, validate and manage the project financials to ensure project remains on budget.
-Manage close-out process.
-Act as the owner representative.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and three to five years of experience (or an equivalent of training and work experience), successfully managing commercial building/construction projects ranging $50,000 - $5M. Knowledge of architectural woodworking and carpentry is a plus but not necessary. Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite programs. Strong verbal and communication skills are a must.
