Willis Family Dentistry is Virginia’s largest doctor owned dental group. 23 locations, approximately $30M in revenue, founded in 2012, and deliberately not private equity backed. We are growing through de novo openings and doctor partnerships, and we are building the financial infrastructure to support the next phase.

Overview

We are looking for a fractional CFO for one to two days per month. This is the strategic finance seat. You will not be doing the close or running payroll, that sits with our Controller and outside CPA firm. You will be doing the work that has not been done here yet.

Duties

• Build and maintain financial projections and a rolling forecast
• Lead the consolidation of our practice entities under a single operating company
• Structure and model partnership economics for our doctor partnership program
• Advise on capital structure and manage lender relationships
• Underwrite acquisitions and de novo openings
• Design the quarterly reporting package for ownership
• Provide oversight of the accounting function and the outside tax relationship

Experience

• CFO or senior finance leadership experience in multi site healthcare, dental, veterinary, or a comparable services model
• Direct experience with entity consolidation and restructuring
• Partnership and JV economics, including buy in and buy out structures
• Comfort operating in a founder led business with a growth agenda
• Existing fractional or advisory practice preferred

This organization has scaled to 23 locations without ever having a real strategic finance function. There is significant, obvious work to do and a founder who wants it done. If you like building something from a blank page rather than maintaining someone else’s system, this is that.

Pay: $4,000.00 - $8,000.00 per month
