Northwest ABA is growing our School Services team, and we're looking for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who wants strong clinical support and the room to use their own judgment.

We partner with public school districts across the Seattle area—primarily Seattle Public Schools—supporting students with significant behavioral needs in their own classrooms. As a Clinical Supervisor, you'll own your cases, mentor the Behavior Technicians who deliver them, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with teachers and district staff.

What this role offers

Doctoral-level clinical oversight

Our Director of School Services is a doctoral-level BCBA who oversees every school case we take, including yours—coaching you through difficult cases, joining district meetings when it helps, and available when something gets complicated. Our Executive Director is also a doctoral-level BCBA, overseeing clinical practice across the company.

An approach matched to the student—and to the clinician

We use practical functional assessment and skills-based treatment where the situation calls for it, and other evidence-based approaches where it doesn't. SBT is intensive, and part of good clinical judgment is knowing when a case genuinely needs it.

If you're not yet skilled in SBT, you won't be handed it and left alone. You'll practice it under direct oversight from someone experienced in it, for as long as that's useful. We invest in advanced PFA/SBT training for our clinicians, and we'll invest in yours.

Compassionate and trauma-informed care

Safety, dignity, and joy across the school day. We start from the student's perspective, honor assent, and treat behavior as communication—including for students whose histories shape how they experience the classroom. Inclusion and access to less restrictive environments is what the plan is for.

A school-year calendar

You work the academic calendar with substantially reduced hours over the summer—a light mix of ESY and clinic/home cases. Predictable weekday hours, no evenings or weekends.

What you'll do

• Conduct functional behavior assessments and, where clinically indicated, practical functional assessments; design, implement, and monitor behavior intervention and skills-based treatment plans
• Supervise, train, and coach the Behavior Technicians on your cases, including case-specific plan training
• Collaborate closely with teachers, case managers, special education staff, administrators, and families
• Attend IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings; hold regular check-ins with case managers, monthly progress reviews, and periodic full school-team meetings
• Collect and analyze data to guide educational/clinical decisions and track progress toward behavioral and, where requested, IEP goals
• Deliver finalized FBA/BIPs and progress reports on district timelines
• Practice ethically and in accordance with BACB standards, Washington law, and NWABA policy

What we're looking for

Required

• Active BCBA certification and Washington Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) credential—or eligibility for WA licensure
• Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field
• Sound clinical judgment about when an approach fits, and comfort seeking oversight when it doesn't
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable transportation for travel between school sites

Preferred (but not required)

• Experience with PFA/SBT, or an interest in learning it well
• Experience in public school settings; familiarity with IDEA and special education processes
• Experience conducting FBAs, developing behavior plans, and supervising Behavior Technicians
• At least one year of experience as a clinical supervisor

Newer to school-based work? If you're a strong, curious clinician, we'll support your ramp-up with mentorship and training—including CPI or Safety-Care certification.
