A Third-Party IT Maintenance Engineer provides independent support for IT hardware—often extending the life of equipment beyond the manufacturer's warranty (EOSL - End of Service Life). They are specialized, multi-vendor technical experts who focus on proactive maintenance, rapid diagnostics, and onsite repairs to ensure maximum system uptime.

Key Job Specifications and Responsibilities

• Hardware Diagnostics & Repair: Perform hands-on troubleshooting and component-level repairs on servers, storage (SAN/NAS), and network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) from various vendors (e.g., Cisco, Dell, HPE).
• SLA Compliance: Adhere to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs), which often require rapid on-site response for critical issues (e.g., 4-hour on-site response), which may include 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Asset Management & Logistics: Manage spare parts inventory to ensure rapid availability of replacement components, coordinating logistics for on-site replacements.
• Remote Monitoring: Utilize remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools to monitor the health and performance of client infrastructure.
• Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of maintenance, repairs, and repeat failures.
• Typical Work Conditions
• This is an Office based remote-focused role, but it may require coordinating directly with field technicians who are in the field or guiding Client personal on certain procedures (Drive Replacements, PSU Replacement, etc.).
• High-pressure environment focusing on minimizing downtime for critical IT infrastructure and ensuring that downtime is largely limited.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of server hardware, storage systems, and network infrastructure, particularly with multi-vendor environments.

Flexibility: Willingness to work on-call, weekends, or rotating shifts to support 24x7 client environments. Hybrid Working with 3 days in the office

• Experience: 3–7 years of experience in maintenance engineering, IT field service, or datacenter operations.
• Certifications: Preferred certifications include Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), CompTIA (A+, Network+), or vendor-specific certifications (Dell, HPE).
• Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills for analyzing complex technical issues in stressed, non-production or production environments.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written skills to coordinate with client IT staff and vendors.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (servers, UPS) and work in cramped, noisy datacenter environments.

Pay: $1.00 - $100.00 per year
