TrenchX fixes failing sewer lines without digging up yards, driveways, or businesses. We're a trenchless pipe lining crew based in North Charleston, and we're looking for a motivated entry-level hire to join the team as a Relining Specialist I.

This is a ground-floor trade position with a clear path forward. RS-1s prepare every job site for the lining install — running the equipment that cleans, inspects, and locates the pipe. You'll also run drain cleaning calls, which means direct customer contact and the satisfaction of solving real problems.

No trenchless experience required. If you're dependable and want to learn a skilled trade, we'll invest in your training.

What You'll Do

• Run hydro-jetting equipment to clean and clear pipe
• Operate milling tools to remove roots and obstructions
• Perform camera inspections to assess pipe condition
• Use locating equipment to find pipe depth and alignment
• Run drain cleaning service calls for blocked or backed-up lines
• Prep job sites safely alongside experienced crew members

What We're Looking For

• Reliable — you show up on time and ready to work
• Strong attention to detail — this work requires precision at every step
• Solid work ethic — you take pride in doing the job right, not just getting it done
• Able to perform physical, outdoor field work in varying conditions
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Willing to get OSHA 10 and Confined Space certified (we cover the training)
• Experience in plumbing, construction, or underground utilities is a plus — but not required.

Pay & Benefits

• Start at $20/hr (Step A)
• Move to $22/hr upon earning your NASSCO BSDI certification (~90 days)
• RS-2 eligible in 3-6 months at $24-$26/hr with NASSCO RESINS certification
• All certifications are earned on the job — TrenchX trains and pays for them
• Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM (4x10) — days can run longer when an install requires it
• 2 weeks paid time off
• Medical and dental reimbursement up to $500/month
